A Joke Called Kuwait Finance House (KFH) Cash Deposit Machines
You can do most of the common necessary banking transactions online these days, except when you need to deposit some cash in your account. And the solution is Cash Deposit Machines (CDMs) .
They solve a lot of troubles and are very convenient to use since you don’t have to go to the bank during their working hours and stand in line just to deposit some money, you can easily drive to any ATM that has the Deposit feature (CDM) at midnight and deposit your money as easy as you withdraw it ..
What I know is that the first bank to make Cash deposit machines available is Burgan Bank, then NBK , then KFH .
I personally used both KFH and NBK , NBK has a lot of CDMs and they are so reliable .. out of the hundreds times that I’ve used them they always work except 2 times ..
But KFH is a different story, for starters they only have 2 machines in Al-Asimah .. and most of the time they don’t work .. I want to know why on earth they put these machines out there and market them when they don’t do what they are supposed to do !! almost every time I try to deposit cash I get a message saying “ the Cash deposit service is no available” , and for my bad luck it’s always a critical time .. Once I tried one in Alfaiha then the one in Hawally and they both didn’t work so I called the bank and they told me to try the one el AlFarwaneyah I went they and it didn’t work either ..
The problem that’s upsetting the most is the reason they give when you call and complain about this problem, their excuse was that the machine is full and it’s the weekend so there’s no one there to take the money out of the machines !! how ridiculous is that a giant bank are can’t collect money from their machines just because it’s THE WEEKEND !!
It’s the weekend when people will use this the most because the bank branches will be close .. It’s the weekend when the shops that use the machines to deposit their daily cash sales have an increase in sales .. so it’s the time when people use and need this service the most, but for them it’s the time when it’s OK that the service is not working !
I think that they should be more clear about their services and it’s availability , they can’t market the service and say that you can deposit at any time or 24/7 where most of the time that this service is needed it doesn’t work ..

It is ridiculous that the bank cannot collect the cash. All that a retail bank does - and think about this, is open and close accounts and move paper around for processing. The paper is either cheques / deposit slips from the branch to the processing centre or money to and from the cash centre. Thus, the key business process for a retail bank is in fact courier services to achieve this movement of paper. So the idiot who gave you the excuse is trying to persuade you that this key business process is some optional weekday loaded inconvenience that may or may not occur. I hate all forms of discrimination, disrespect and contempt but do make an exception for all retail bank related matters. Sorry for remaining on the fence.

KFH Bank… What can you say. This bank raised on the name of only Islamic bank in Kuwait. I am not a believer in something called Islamic bank. For me it’s a twist turn around religion, but I’m glad there are other so-called islamic banks opening here, that should force KFH to think again about their quality of service.
Once I went to their online site and they had the Hotline to call in case of problems, below it is the working hours of that hotline!!! The bank is booming and expanding in all the middle-east. He is expanding so fast he doesn’t even care about collecting the money! And they are not even a shame of saying it. There is no one to collect the cash!
I once heard a similar yet more funny story. A KFH teller was shouting infront of the customers to his friend, “This guy wants to withdraw 4000 KD, we don’t have it. What do we do?” !!! (Etha boletom fastatero) How can the 2nd largest bank in Kuwait be out of 4 K cash! What the hell are you doing in the branch then? And don’t you even think before you announce it to people!
I thank you very much for this insightful post. Yet, I’m not sure how you dare to snapshot the ATM when (I assume) there are cameras taping you :P. Someone could think you are planning something fishy.
Then again, it was the weekend and most likely the camera ran out of recording space and there is no one to replace the tape

Funny thing is, just today I wanted to use Check deposit through NBK and found out the feature is no longer available
NBK really isn’t moving as fast as they did before. And in that case, they went a step backward.

You’re definitely right, it’s ridiculous that they don’t collect it on weekend, they are a huge organization, can’t they handle the added cost of one more shift for the armor car and it’s drivers to collect the money on weekends ! it’s a really unexcepted excuse for an incompetent thing that they are doing ..
They started this service after their competition, and it was better for them if they don’t provide this service at all rather than providing it in a horrible and unreliable way ..

May be KFH don’t care about their Banking services and clients, simply because their investments and other businesses is much more important and profitable for them .. that’s what you get when you see practices like this ..

LoooL it had to be done man that’s why I snapped it, and if they are too lazy to collect their cash I think it’s safe to assume that they will go on and view every video of every person using the ATM
